Tony Ryals was born in 1959 with a rare, crippling disease called Arthrogryposis, robbing him any use of his arms and legs. Throughout his life, he endured more difficult, painfull challenges than most people can even imagine. At a very early age Tony was sent to a foster home, raised with love and high standards of working ethics, mainly to earn your own way in life. He was taught that we all need help throughout our lives, but it’s more important to help others all our lives, No Excuses!
With a Head full of Dreams, and a Heart full of Hope,Tony was able to reach deep inside of himself and found happiness and joy. He feels touched by the true Master Creator Artist of all God! , Those feelings gave him the willpower and determination to developed his God given talent. Tony tries to explain that God gave us All a talent to help others in some way.
This Painter of Hope uses artist tools grasped in his teeth bringing a canvas to life with detail from the smallest feather on a hummingbird’s wing, to the colors of the brilliant sun setting on a violent sea.
Tony is making it! His life is proof that even extreme obstacles can be overcome, and that dreams can be realized. With his wife and two kids and now even grandchildren he lives a happy productive life. Tony encourages others to Have and more importantly, Give HOPE, and to enjoy living, no matter what comes their way.
Tony says, “As my experiences grow, I feel the need to change the word disability to a brand new word,called Diff-Ability! Throughout my life people couldn’t help but noticed my disability and life's limits, but my family and friends focused on my Different Abilities. seeing what I could do, which is limitless. This taught him that everyone can be great at some things. I’m proud to know that when people buy my (Art from the Heart,) they are hanging it proudly for all to see, plus showing off a Diff-Ability! and that makes a disability disappear"
